01 · About

Interfaces for millions of players. Institutions for one family.

Alexander Davis is a designer and director from Mercer County, Ohio. He taught himself game development as a teenager, founded his first company, a web design and hosting business, while still in high school, and graduated with honors from Wright State University.

His career in the games industry spans more than fifty titles across major franchises. He specialized in the player-facing layer, the interface and experience design that decides how millions of people meet a product, and directed it at studios including High Moon / Activision Blizzard, Vigil, and Petroglyph before running his own consultancy for clients on four continents. He shipped his own game VAST across Apple's entire ecosystem as a solo developer, winning awards and selling units worldwide. Across the industry he is credited as Xander Davis.

Alexander has lived and worked across the United States — Northwest Ohio, Fort Wayne, San Diego, Atlanta, Austin, Las Vegas, and Wasilla and Anchorage, Alaska — and, most recently, in Europe: half a year in Montenegro, in the Balkans.

For most of the decade he has been a professional vanguard of applied AI — an early and sustained practitioner and evangelist, often before others could see it, rather than a late arrival — and has taken his interface, experience, and product-design expertise all-in on SI, carrying it through games into new sectors and industries going forward, recently on high-tech VR-AI platforms for the Department of War and NATO partners.

Today he is the founder of House Davis, a family office, of Ultraevum, the House's building arm, and a father of three sons.
